Blame! and So On is an artbook filled with captivating illustrations by Tsutomu Nihei. The book is divided into several sections, including Collaboration, which showcases Nihei's artworks for various comic book covers like Wolverine: Snikt! and conceptual drawings for the film Hellboy. Another section is dedicated to Blame!, which features character sketches, cover art, the final six pages of the manga, and stunning artworks created for magazines and calendars. It also includes unpublished content, colored manga pages, plot explanations, a list of influential works, and the history behind its creation. Additionally, the artbook includes sections for NOiSE, showcasing cover art and colored pages, as well as Other Works featuring images from Bitch's Life, convention posters, and illustrations for the novella "Ekusutasu" by Huziya Ayako. The artbook also presents Megalomania, an imaginative architectural vision of future Tokyo, and a discussion between Nihei and Enki Bilal in the magazine Afternoon from May 2001. Another conversation featured is the one between Nihei and Guillermo del Toro, discussing their works, published in Afternoon in August 2002. The artbook further includes a commentary section where Nihei provides explanations and comments on selected artworks. Unfortunately, Megalomania and Deadheads are not presented in this edition, as they have not been translated. However, the artbook can be downloaded in its entirety in Japanese and could be translated, shedding more light on the mysteries of Blame!. There are translation attempts available in Russian (LOG 02) and English.
