Каору Шимизу

co-star Каору is a classmate of Gorou's in elementary school who also played with him in the "Mifune Dolphins Little" team. She decides to take up baseball after witnessing Gorou's passion for the sport. In middle school, she switches to softball and becomes the captain of the "Mifune East Junior High" team. Initially, she plans to follow Gorou to Kaido High School, as she has feelings for him. However, her plans change when she discovers that Kaido High School does not have a softball team, and after Gorou encourages her to follow her love for softball. After high school, she attends Keio University. It is during the winter break of her freshman year that she and Gorou finally become a couple. By the end of the series, Gorou and Kaoru get married and later have two children.
